Owing to continued growth and high demand for its services, the company is now seeking to recruit a principal electrical engineer to join our expanding team based in Beijing.
1. Provide on-site monitoring on the electrical and instrumentation construction works (including testing and commissioning) for onshore and offshore wind turbine projects, including ancillary works related to transformer stations, substations, cable trenches, power transmission lines and HV/MV/LV/earthing/SCADA integration from wind farm network to wind turbines and wind farm network to existing power grid.
2. Monitor, review and report on the delivery of projects against the approved execution schedule.
3. Assess the quality of work on site against the specification and the relevant Chinese standards.
4. Prepare technical specifications for electrical and instrumentation (including SCADA systems) works specific to offshore and onshore wind farms.
5. Witness and report electrical equipment factory acceptance tests (FATs) based on technical agreements/specifications
6. Translate technical specifications and other documentation from design institutes, construction companies, wind turbine manufacturers and other consultants including construction supervision companies.
7. Review technical documents; calculations, specifications, reports and drawings against technical specifications and the relevant Chinese standards.
8. Review electrical designs for wind turbine projects including grid connection, HV/MV/LV networks (including earthing, protection, transformers and switchgear) and system integration from wind farm network to wind turbines and wind farm network to existing power grid.
9. Review functionality of substation and wind farm SCADA systems including FATs and site acceptance tests (SATs)
10. Attend off site meetings and surveys.
11. Provide technical support to clients.
12. Other ad hoc support as and when required.
1. Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar.
2. Significant postgraduate experience in Electrical Engineering in China. Your background should be in electric power systems, transformer stations, high voltage grids, and connection of low and medium voltage power plants, or related field with some experience in design work and analysis of control and instrumentation systems. Experience in the wind energy industry would be an advantage.
3. Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin, other languages would be an advantage.
4. Competent with Microsoft office software such as excel, word, access and project. Knowledge of AutoCad would be an advantage.

6. The successful candidate will be required to produce reports/technical queries for clients and so attention to detail, reliability, good organisational skills are paramount.
7. You should have excellent communication skills, coupled with a flexible and proactive approach to work to thrive in this busy team.
8. You will be required to produce original copies of degrees and certificates. Evidence of prior work experience with references will also be required.
